Dr. Jamie Meehan is the Cluster Manager of IDEAM (Irish Digital Engineering and Advanced Manufacturing) and has worked with international cluster associations, organisations, managers and research centres for over 10 years. Jamie is an Industry 4.0 Trainer: Smart Manufacturing for Industry as part of the EU Atlantic Area IN4.0 project and the Leadership in Digitalisation of Manufacturing programme.

He is an international speaker at many international conferences over the years and on the impact of clusters on industry growth. He has completed his PhD doctorate on International Clusters and Regional Development and is an author of cluster publications and a recently published EU cluster perspective book. Industry mentoring on future growth strategies forms a key part of his corporate social responsibility. He is also supervising the inaugurated PhD study on the impact of the IDEAM Cluster on Entrepreneurship and Economic Growth activity in Ireland.

Jamie has experience in delivering many cluster development workshops and management series to guide industry sectors on digital transformation, building cluster organisations and adopting strategic initiatives using the bottom-up collaborative approach. Furthermore, he was a lecturer in the areas of digitalisation and entrepreneurship for 10 years whilst undertaking his research endeavours. He has been involved in various regional, national and international successfully funded projects namely, Interreg Europe, Erasmus+, Interreg Atlantic Area and Horizon2020 to the value of over €10,000,000. He was the project lead for several EU projects, managing large project budgets and forms part of the first-ever EU Cluster Acceleration Programme (theCAP).
