Frank Murphy, principal engineer with Penn Engineering, Mervue Galway. Frank has worked with Penn Engineering for 11 years. Starting out as manufacturing engineering, Frank has worked on projects identifying key areas for improvements including safety, quality, and cost saving, conceptualize new ways to solve problems, driving for results and developing solutions with support and cooperation from all departments in the company.

Frank leads the operational excellence team in Galway with responsibility for driving our cost-saving initiatives while developing Penn Galway’s Industry 4.0 program. This role involves a lot of interaction across many departments to enable these programs and initiatives, as well as collaboration with Penn Engineering’s global Industry 4.0 program. Frank is currently in his final year of the MSc in Strategic Quality management/Lean Sigma manager apprenticeship course at University of Limerick.
